Panama Balboa Port STS Upgrade Project
Before the upgrade, control of three STS at the Balboa Port in Panama relied on GE T250Wi series drives and 9030 series PLCs. Communication between the drives and PLCs utilized the IS bus protocol. However, with the discontinuation of the 9030 series PLCs and ISC controllers, it became imperative to maintain operational continuity. Consequently, the original ISC controllers were replaced, and the PLCs were upgraded to the RX3i series, now communicating via EGD protocol.
Panama Balboa Port RTG Upgrade Project
Prior to the upgrade, three 41-ton RTG at the Balboa Port were controlled using Fuji VG7S series drivers and F70S series PLCs. Currently, both the F70S series PLCs and VG7S series drivers have been discontinued. To ensure the equipment operates smoothly, the original F70S controllers and VG7S drivers were replaced. The PLCs were upgraded to the MICREX-SX SPH series, while the drivers were upgraded to the VG1S series.
Chilean STS Port Crane Upgrade Project
The crane upgrade entails updating the drive system with the latest PLC hardware to meet the operational needs of the client. We upgraded the existing two STS drive systems from Siemens Masterdrive to Sinamics S120 drive systems and migrated the PLC from the old S7-400 CPU to the new S7-400 CPU, while also upgrading to the latest CMS interface and features.
